2. How We Use Your Information
- Verify alumni status and personalize your dashboard, recommendations, and communications.
- Enable core functionality such as messaging, business listings, job postings, events, and fundraising.
- Improve security, monitor abuse, troubleshoot issues, and conduct analytics that guide product updates.
- Send service updates, invitations, or policy changes. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Sharing & Disclosure
- Other Members: portions of your profile and activity are visible to authenticated alumni according to your settings.
- Service Providers: we partner with infrastructure, analytics, email, and payment vendors who must follow our confidentiality requirements.
- Legal & Safety: we may disclose information to comply with applicable laws or protect members from fraud or harm.
4. Cookies & Tracking
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and secure the administrative areas.
- Analytics cookies help us understand feature adoption and improve load times.
- You can adjust browser settings to limit cookies, but the Platform may not function as intended.
5. Data Retention
- We retain account data while your profile remains active. Backups and activity logs may be stored for longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
- You may request deletion by contacting support. Certain records (e.g., financial transactions or security logs) may be retained as permitted or required.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Update your profile, notification preferences, or password at any time in Settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@amanfoo.org with proof of identity.
- Opt out of optional emails by using the unsubscribe controls within the message.
7. Security
- We use encryption in transit, role-based access, audit logging, and regular penetration testing to safeguard data.
- No platform is completely secure; please notify us immediately at security@amanfoo.org if you suspect unauthorized activity.
8. International Transfers
- The Platform is hosted in the cloud and data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your residence with equivalent contractual protections.
9. Updates
- We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect feature changes or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
